Is the Athletes Abroad Summit open to all athletes?

This experience is specifically curated for the American athlete who plays outside the U.S. This athlete has unique needs related to their development, brand management, and career transition – needs exacerbated by living in another country. This Summit is designed to provide support, resources, and networking opportunities to this demographic within the professional sports market.

Another unique feature of this Summit is the inclusion of both male and female athletes. In the international market, these players share many more of the same experiences, challenges, and opportunities than they would playing in the U.S. We aim to bridge this gap by providing a supportive and inclusive environment for sharing and supporting their unique experiences abroad.

What is the registration fee?

The registration fee is $199 for current male and female athletes and $249 for professionals and any non-active player.

What is included in the registration fee?

Current players will receive food/beverages, a swag bag of professional items, and a directory of experienced professionals across many industries, such as legal, wealth planning, mental health, marketing, and more. In addition, they will receive a toolkit of “how-to” information curated from expert attendees. Lastly, players are invited to view a private screening of international sports documentary Ballin’ Abroad.

Professionals will receive food/beverages, a swag bag of professional items, and access to an exclusive networking experience. Professionals are also invited to view a private screening of international sports documentary Ballin’ Abroad.

When is the deadline for registration?

You may register at any time, up until the day of the week of the Athletes Abroad Summit OR up until capacity has been reached.

Can I purchase a ticket at the door?

There is limited seating available and same-day ticket purchases will be determined based on availability.

Are the meals included?

Yes, food and beverages will be served throughout the Summit as a part of your registration. A cash alcohol bar will be available for all after-hours networking events.

What is the dress code at these events?

The dress code for the Athletes Abroad Summit is business casual for all participants.  

What is the cancellation/refund policy for event registration(s)?

Refunds are only available for the Athletes Abroad Summit up until 21 days before the event. After that time, all registration fees are non-refundable. If the Athletes Abroad Summit is canceled, a full refund will be issued via the original method of payment.

Is there a discount for multiple tickets?

No discounts are available for multiple tickets.

Are there passes available for students?

Students are permitted to attend at the Active Player rate of $199.
